Friday June 14, 2013 - Despite US President Barrack Obama reducing the time of his trip to Tanzania due to financial constrains, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will still meet with the US strongman in a forum in Pretoria South Africa, his aide has said.

The aide who requested anonymity, to avoid contradicting his boss, said Raila was invited personally by Obama and he was also selected by US State Department to guide   President Obama on his trip to Africa.

Raila, who is the father of democracy in Kenya, is also expected to address a forum on Democracy in Africa in Pretoria which will be attended by US President Barrack Obama.

“Even if President Obama cancels his trip to Tanzania, Jakom will meet him in South Africa, he has been invited as special guest to US President Barrack Obama,” the aide said

“Raila Odinga shares a lot with US President Barrack Obama and they are also cousins,” the aide added.

President Barrack Obama and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are long distant cousins and long time friends since they are both democrats.
