Wednesday June 5, 2013 - For the first time, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have finally agreed to share their political and governance advisers.
The two vibrant leaders will not share Private Secretaries, Chief of Staff and their Press Services.
The advisers under the Uhuru-Ruto presidency will however not be on permanent and pensionable basis but will paid allowances for their services.
The ones who have been selected are brilliant academicians and politicians who had excelled well in their earlier fields of their assignments.
Among them is former Mandera Central MP, Abdikadir Mohammed who is a special adviser to Uhuru and Ruto on issue of devolution and constitutional affairs. His office is based at State House.
Prof Sam Ongeri, who vied for Kisii Senator but lost narrowly, has been appointed as special adviser to Uhuru and Ruto on the issue of Governance. His office is at Harambee House.
Former Cherangany MP, Joshua Kuttuny, has also been appointed as a special adviser forUhuru/Ruto on political affairs. His office is at Harambee House
PS Joseph Kinyua, is to be the special adviser on Finance and Economic Affairs while Kengen MD Eddy Njoroge will be advising the Jubilee Government on matters of energy and petroleum.
Jasper Mbiuki is to be legal adviser to the presidency based at State House while Nixon Korir will be special adviser on youth affairs and special projects based at Ruto’s Harambee Avenue office.
Former President Kibaki’s political adviser Nancy Gitau will be working at Statehouse as a special adviser on Governance.
