Why Jose Mourinho is not a failure at Madrid

Even though the outgoing Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho did loose his
9-year unbeaten home record following  his worst 5-0 defeat  to
Barcelona two years ago, I'm pretty sure he'll cover that spot with
many more trophies with his next club. A vast majority of football
fans across the globe may consider the self acclaimed "special one " a
looser at Real Madrid.  No more "hala Madrid "  chants at the end of
the season for the Los Blancos fans as the club went without a major
trophy yet again after surrendering their liga trophy to bitter rivals
Barcelona. Not to forget their champions league semi final humble loss
to the German giants, BVB. The whole dressing room issue with Pepe,
Ramos as well as Casillias
didn't get resolved just to mention but a few instances that have led
to him being branded as a looser who has damaged the image of the
Spanish giants.

However, carefull consideration of  Real Madrid's achievement
over the past 10 years ultimately shows he has taken the club forward
in the right
direction. Before leaving Inter Milan for Madrid, the Los blancos
would put in timid performances in
the champions league and go out
to comparatively weaker teams like Lyon. They would easily and
convincingly loose to Barcelona, and the worst, going out in Copa Del
Rey to third division sides and what not.

His arrival at Madrid just brought in a new atmosphere. He secured the
signature of his fellow country man Cristiano Ronaldo, a thing other
bigger clubs failed to.  The tactician had a build up, putting up a
team
that perfectly  broke Barcelona last
season (though his team
regressed afterwards ). On  his arrival at the Spanish capital
Barcelona were right
at their prime. No way was playing them
going to be easy, and no way any
success was guaranteed.

Just like his former rival football mastermind, Pep Guadiola, Mourinho
put his players exactly at the right level. He made them hungry to
win, they did anything Mourinho told them to.  Frequently, he
maintained his cool
on the sidelines and made his players maintain theirs on
the pitch. At the end, their failure to finish off their
chances was evident. But is this just becaus Jose Mourinho was
there? The fact is that the regular
players failed to perform but people
will only single out Mourinho as the failure.
