Monday, May 27, 2013 – Citizen TV’s Julie Gichuru is the most celebrated news anchor in the country. But have you ever wondered how her career flourished from nowhere.
Gichuru, a mixed race of a Kikuyu mother from Kiambu and a father of Kashmir origin lived along Wanyee road in Dagoretti during her childhood. From a humble childhood, she prides herself as a lawyer by profession with LLB Law from Cardiff Law School and MBA from Cardiff Business School – University of Wales.
She started her media career at Capital FM while it was still owned by Linda Holt before she became a news anchor at KTN and then worked at NTV before she left for Citizen TV her current employer.
Julie has a high regard for her show Sunday Live which she calls her baby; she is currently hosting the African Leadership Dialogue which sees her interacting with Presidents, Prime Ministers and political big shots.
