- The Nairobi Updates has learnt the UK Government gave the International Criminal Court (ICC) £25 million (Sh 2.8 billion) to nail President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto who are facing charges at The Hague based court.

to make sure that they expedite the case as fast as possible and nail the two indictees.

Although this is a top secret of the UK government, British agents at the ICC are pressurising ICC Chief Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, not to postpone the trial facing President Uhuru Kenyatta, which is scheduled to start on July 7.
The source said that the UK Government wants Uhuru and Ruto to be incarcerated at The Hague as fast as possible so that their preferred candidate, CORD Presidential loser Raila Odinga, can get a chance of clinching the Presidency when the two are locked at the ICC.
The source also said many witnesses testifying against the two at the ICC are holed up in London and are regularly briefed by British Secret Service which is against the provisions of Rome Statute.
President Uhuru, his Deputy William Ruto and radio presenter Joshua Sang have been indicted by the ICC court in connection with 2007-08 post election bloodshed, and their trials commences later this year.
